Following an investigation by the Passaic Police Department and the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, Cordero was charged with:

• Fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon

Over the next several years, Detectives conducted an extensive nationwide search in coordination with the Passaic Police Department, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, the U.S. Marshals Service, and multiple assisting law enforcement agencies across the country.

In May 2025, Cordero was added to the New Jersey State Police Most Wanted List. Investigative efforts later developed information indicating that he was in the Bronx, New York.

On March 24, 2026, the NJSP Fugitive Unit, working with the U.S. Marshals Service NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force, executed a warrant at a residence on East Mosholu Parkway in the Bronx, NY. Cordero was located and arrested without incident.
