OCEAN COUNTY – Ocean County government is facing a administrative personnel changes after Tristin J. Collins, a deputy county administrator, was placed on paid leave through the expiration of his contract on Aug. 31, according to recent reports.
In addition to the paid leave, there is broader turbulence within the county government, including staffing changes and a former division director pursuing legal action over her claim that she was pushed out.
What remains notably absent, at least in public-facing county media, is a formal official explanation from Ocean County about why Collins was sidelined or what prompted the paid leave arrangement.
